Community and collaboration with BCFS
BCcampus’s goal was to increase engagement. A proven tactic for engagement is to collaborate with a team that shares your missions and values. The team that fit the bill was the British Columbia Federation of Students (BCFS). Since BCcampus wanted to grow its younger audience, we strategized a student takeover to occur on our Instagram.
We grew 30% by consistently collaborating with the BCFS to build trust and become an authority figure in the Open Educational Resources (OER) space. The BCFS team recorded videos voicing the benefits of OER.
My role in this campaign was:
strategy,
editing videos with closed captions,
designing and scheduling the campaign.
