Engaging younger audiences with memes
BCcampus’s goal was to increase engagement while being appealing to the younger student demographic.
I suggested memes as a way to introduce variety into our social strategy.
Social media isn’t meant to be serious, and we saw an uptick in likes and comments from our followers.
My role in this social strategy was: coming up with relatable concepts in the Open Education Resource realm, editing pictures and GIFs to use on Instagram, researching, designing, and scheduling memes bi-weekly.
